We are looking for you to join our team in the Fabric Development Apparel Department at our headquarters in Idstein as a Manager Fabric Development Apparel (f/m/d) as soon as possible. The position is temporary for two years as a parental leave cover.
Your role in the Wolfpack:
  • Sourcing, development and material management of fabrics and materials within seasonal collection planning
  • Execution of quality control and quality assurance procedures
  • Conducting, evaluating and assessing physical material tests
  • Cooperation with suppliers and monitoring development timelines
  • Requesting, comparing and evaluating price quotations
  • Optimization of development processes in close cooperation with Product Management and Design
  • Participation in internal meetings relevant to collection development
  • Maintenance and updating of product and collection data and provision of relevant information for internal stakeholders
  • Contribution to project-related working groups, particularly in the areas of sustainability and innovation
  • Collaboration with international stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Business travel to national and international suppliers and industry events
What you bring:

  • Degree in Textile Design, Textile Engineering, Textile Management or a comparable qualification
  • Professional experience in fabric development or comparable areas
  • Strong understanding of textile production processes and textile analysis methods, ideally relating to functional outdoor materials
  • Experience in evaluating material quality and supplier performance
  • Confident written and spoken English skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office and ideally with product management systems
  • Strong interest in technological developments and innovative materials
  • Experience in working with external business partners
  • Structured, solution-oriented and independent working approach
  • Strong focus on quality, teamwork and communication
  • High level of responsibility
